Cancellation Policy

Location & Atmosphere Welcome to the wheel! Your hands-on experience is taught by Afonso at our sister studio, "What the Folk", located a simple 10-minute walk up the road from the main shop. (max 2 guests for Duet sessions, and 1-on-1 for Private sessions). Preparation, Attire & A Gentle Pivot Attire: Please wear comfortable clothing you do not mind getting a splash of clay on (aprons are provided in the studio!). Nails: We highly recommend keeping fingernails short and trimmed for the best grip on the spinning wheel. A Gentle Pivot: If long nails or physical comfort prevent throwing on the day, do not worry! We can seamlessly pivot your session to our painting table so your time with us remains creative and relaxing. Firing & Pickup Thrown pieces require careful drying, glazing, and double-firing in the kiln. Your craftsmanship will be ready for local pickup in 7 to 13 days. Timing & Rescheduling We know daily schedules can shift. While we do not offer refunds, we are happy to reschedule your time with at least 24 hours' notice. Running Late: If you arrive up to 30 minutes late, we will warmly welcome you and continue the session for your remaining allocated time. More than 30 Minutes Late: If you are more than 30 minutes late without prior notice, the session is unfortunately canceled without the option for a refund or rescheduling. This simply allows us to respect the time of following students. Our Kiln Promise & Waitlist Kiln Promise: If your piece cracks during the firing process, we will always make it right by inviting you back to make a new piece on the house.
